Balboa Golf Course opened in 1988. Ranked 7th of the top ten courses in Arkansas, the spectacular 18-hole course is a par-72 layout that measures 6,725 yards/5,362 yards respectively from the back and forward tees and challenges with tree-lined fairways. The 20,000 square foot clubhouse overlooks the beautiful finishing hole and has a golf shop, lounge and grill. The facility also provides meeting spaces for clubs, events and parties.
Coronado Golf Course is a par-62, shorter, executive course which opened in 1984. Sand, water, hilly lies and tough pin placements make it a test for the short game with only par 3's and par 4's to navigate the just short of 3,400 yards. Mostly elevated, don't let the shortened course distance fool you. The Casa Coronado Grill offers quick grill dining before or after a round of golf.
Cortez Golf Course was opened in 1977. Ranked the sixth best course in the state by Golf Digest in May of 1997 this par 72-layout continues to rank among the top ten in Arkansas. It's scenic and challenging with sand traps, undulating greens and towering pine trees and is certainly one of the favorites of residents and visitors alike. The 8,000 square foot clubhouse has a golf shop and the Wood 'n Iron Restaurant provides a covered porch for dining while you watch players finish their round.
DeSoto Golf Course was the first course built here and opened in 1972. In 2001 the course and clubhouse were updated with a $1 million renovation. The course plays 6,733 yards and 5,553 yards from the back and forward tees respectively and is a par-72 layout. Beautiful and stately the course sports bent and Bermuda grasses. Many charity tournaments and golf association events are held here. The complex houses the 19th Hole Restaurant as well as Pegasus at DeSoto which offers a fine dining restaurant with space available for private parties and meetings.
Diamante Country Club provides another golfing option as a private members-only club. Diamante was named the 4th best new private course in the nation by Golf Digest magazine in 1995 and continues to rank as one of the best in the state since. Offering several levels of membership, this private club is home to a championship course, beautiful homes and a 9,000 square foot clubhouse which has a lounge, swimming pool, tennis courts and fine dining. Members are part of a resort network that offers access to clubs nationwide. Diamante has been the site of both the Buy.com and Nationwide tour play.
Granada Golf Course, our 8th course, opened in the fall of 2004, and showcases a link style layout offering five sets of tees playing at 7,115 yards from the back tees and 5,056 yards from the forward. It is located in the east end of the Village between Isabella and the private Diamante Country Club course. The pro shop provides all your golfing needs and those additional wants too. The Terrace on the Greens restaurant offers outdoor dining overlooking the 18th fairway featuring a breathtaking waterfall.
Isabella Golf Course opened Labor Day of 2000. It's a challenge for all level of golfers and yardage distances at 7,061 from the back tees and 4,969 from the forward tee box. This awesome course was rated by Golf Digest Magazine as the sixth best new private course in the nation in 2001 and was ranked No.1 Golf Course in Arkansas in Golf Digest in 2003-2004. The patio at the Columbus Grill Restaurant overlooks the 18th green and offers a magnificent view while enjoying food and drinks.
Magellan Golf Course began as a golf school in 1996. This par-72 course was ranked 8th in Golf Digest's Top New Private Courses in 1997 and is gorgeous with a stream running right through it. It's shorter than Ponce de Leon but the championship layout measures the back tees at 6,494 yards and just 4,877 yards from the forward tees. The natural setting is beautiful and the practice facilities are superb. Magellan offers a pro shop and snack bar/deli shop.
Ponce de Leon Golf Course is known by resident golfers as the "long and hilly." The par-72 course opened in 1989 and measures back tees at 6,946 yards with the forward tees in at 5,273 yards. Ranked 5th in the top ten Arkansas courses in 2003 and 2004, it continues to challenge. Many local charity tournaments and golf association events are played here. Enjoy a drink and dining on the veranda of Ponce Fairway Tavern Golf Grill and then be sure to make another tee time. All courses provide computers to request specific courses and timeframes.
